A lover of sunny days, reading, a good cup of tea, a long walk, and the pleasure of good conversation, I am first passionate about intentional life with God, my family, and my community. I’m wife to a dynamic preacher, pastor, and college instructor, and we’ve been married since 1982. I’m Mom to seven, and Nana to seven.

I tend to analyze and problem-solve…find satisfaction in organizing events and our home (my family calls that “control” 🙂)…enjoy women’s ministry and discipleship…and in the early morning hours, reading Scripture and praying with a cup of hot tea nearby is life-giving to me. My longing for beauty is satisfied in gardening and in making our home a place where people can find rest. Running or walking on country roads is my form of exercise and stress relief, and I added Holy Yoga, taught by a dear friend, to my weekly routine. Now that my children are grown, each day is different as I learn how to be available to my family and our church.

My greatest treasures are the people I love. As I grow older, I learn that when the difficulties come (and they will), they are borne easier by having a community of people to love and who love me. We are designed for relationships.

Besides my husband, I depend on the exhortation, accountability, and prayer of women in my life. More times than I can count, I’ve been thankful for the “cultivating” that Jesus has done in me through the care of these wise women. I couldn’t walk this road alone.

I enthusiastically embrace the vision of a community of women who are intentionally and genuinely living out God’s calling in their lives! Women who want to connect and engage with others no matter the stage of life, walking side by side, with the goal of faithfully bearing fruit for the glory of God! My church is made up of women like this.

What can you expect from my blog? By God’s grace, you can expect my writing to be transparent, encouraging, biblical, and practical. I hope to be responsive to you, so please engage with me in dialogue, so we can learn from one another.

I hope you will join us!

With love and gratitude,
